Lignocellulosic biorefinery to develop biobased materials, chemicals and fuels
Gosselink, Richard
Summary
Seminar presentation about possibilities to develop added value products from lignocellulosic biorefineries with special focus on lignin valorization. This presentation gave some examples of developments in which Wageningen Food & Biobased Research is involved together with industrial partners. These examples include the use of lignin as asphalt binder, anti oxidant and insect repellency agent in packaging materials and as functional component in resins for construction materials.
