The killing of day-old chicks of laying hen hybrids is already under discussion for some time and has led to political demands for banning this practice. With a short literature study and interviewing many sector parties an effort has been done to address all ins and outs regarding the killing of day-old chicks of laying hen hybrids and with the support of a working group describe scenario’s how to meet the political demands for a policy.
