Recreatie in groenblauwe gebieden : Actualisatie van CLO-indicator 1258 op basis van data van het Continu Vrijetijdsonderzoek uit 2018

Langers, Fransje

Summary

Recreational activities in green/blue areas were monitored by analysing data from the Continu Vrijetijdsonderzoek (CVTO), an ongoing outdoor leisure activities survey, for the years 2006/2007, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2015 and (now) 2018. In the CVTO each week about 375 people are questioned about their leisure activities over the past week. This study focuses on leisure activities in and around farmland, forests, natural areas, parks, recreational areas, rivers and water bodies, and the sea. For each type of area an analysis was made of visitor numbers, recreational activities and background information on visitors (including age and urbanicity of home address). As the questions were formulated differently from previous surveys, the data from 2018 could only be compared with previous years to a limited extent. The data from 2018 shows that forests are the most visited green/blue areas in the Netherlands, followed at some distance by farmland. Walking is the most popular activity in many environments.
