Variable demand as a means to more sustainable biofuels and biobased materials.

Summary

The talk presents the results of a survey on variable demand of biofuels and discusses the effects on sustainability issues such as the negative or positive effects on food security, agricultural productivity and on indirect land use change. This is relevant for implementing biofuels under REDIII in The EU.
