Summary

The aim of this study is to map the economic consequences of a cultivation and trade ban on the crops Cortaderia selloana, Broussonetia papyrifera and Tradescantia fluminensis. The economic consequences for growers of Cortaderia selloana are great, especially for growers of plumes. The consequences for growers of Broussonetia papyrifera are very limited. The consequences for the few growers of Tradescantia fluminensis will be great if this crop remains subject to the ban. Data were collected on the basis of desk research and interviews with growers and stakeholders.
