Zein film prepared by zein coacervate

Nowadays, bioplastic used for package was in urgent need in the life. Zein as a hydrophobic plant protein which has a low carbon footprint attached the attention of researchers. However, zein film prepared by traditional solution casting do not have a good mechnical property. Our project focused on the utilizing the zein coacervate after scraping without adding anything to achieve the improvement of the mechanical property of zein film. And in this project, we investigate the relationship between the secondary structure and the mechanical property. Meanwhile, the influence of shear rate and pH was studied to establish contract with the secondary structure and the microstructure.
