Project
Regenerative Farming
The Dutch agricultural sector is challenged to meet broadly committed long-term objectives (as also stated in the UN Sustainable Development Goals): zero net GHG emissions and regenerative use of nutrients and soil. The aim of this project is to develop a substantiated vision for 2050 for both the arable and dairy farming sectors. By means of a 'proof of principle', it is demonstrated that broad application of circular and regenerative agriculture is possible and essential to achieve the 2050 situation. I supervise a PhD that explores the socioeconomic aspect of regenerative agriculture and co-design three regional designs (clay, peat, sandy soil).
