Project: Phytosanitation project: Nematodes in Indonesian agro-ecosystems with emphasis on economically high-impact plant-parasites
In a cooperation between Ghent University, Nematology Research Unit (Wim Bert) and Wageningen University, Laboratory of Nematology (Hans Helder), two PhD candidates from the Indonesian Center for Plant Quarantine and Bio-safety will receive a training in the morphology-based recognition of major plant-parasitic nematodes in the agro-ecological context, as well in the use of state-of-the-art molecular technologies for the recognition and monitoring of plant parasitic nematodes, in particular potato cyst nematodes.
This Dutch-Indonesian phytosanitation project is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, directorate “Agro- en Natuurkennis”.
