Success of Product Development Partnerships (COMPLETED)

Product Development Partnerships (PDPs) require a close collaboration between public and private partners and stakeholders with the aim to develop in a faster, cheaper and more effective way drugs, vaccines and other tools for the control and prevention of poverty-related diseases. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs set aside a funds for PDPs (2010-2014, and 2015-2020) which have supported multiple projects over the last decennia. This project will investigate whether the last funding round has contributed to the involvement and active participation of public and private parties in the countries where the fund was active. It will also develop recommendations on how to improve new PDPs that may arise in the future.
