From September/October 2012, we are looking for an intern/thesis student within the Food Structuring group of FrieslandCampina Research in Deventer. The preferably >4-months internship/thesis will consist of participation in a long-term research project on improving the functionality of casein and caseinates, including the search for new protein functionalities.

Profile:

  • Final years of relevant MSc study (Food Technology/Dairy Technology/etc.);
  • Good foundation of Food Physics/Chemistry and/or Dairy Technology;
  • Comfortable with working in a laboratory/pilot plant environment;
  • Enthusiastic, independent worker with an analytical mindset;
  • Able to work in a team environment;
  • Comfortable with working in the English language, both oral and written;
  • Creative;
