Project
Biobased Materials and Polymers
The main goal of our work is to unlock the full potential of renewable feedstocks by leveraging their unique chemical, physical, and biological structures. Through the design of efficient conversion processes, we aim to transform these renewable resources into nanocellulose, nano lignin, and building blocks. This research endeavour will contribute significantly to the development of multifunctional materials for cutting-edge technologies while addressing critical challenges such as waste reduction and reducing reliance on non-renewable resources. The research topics are: (1) green processes for converting renewable feedstocks to biobased polymers, (2) design of multifunctional materials using biobased polymers,(3) the application in cutting-edge technologies
