Project

Multi-omics data integration

Aim of this project is to identify and understand the evolutionarily conserved processes that play a key role in rapid auxin responses using ‘omics’ datasets from multiple levels of regulation – genome, transcriptome and (phospho)proteome.

Auxin-dependent transcriptional responses through the nuclear auxin pathway have been relatively well understood. However, recent studies have shown that rapid auxin responses occur within two minutes of exogenous auxin application, which are too fast to be transcription dependent. Hence, alternative auxin response pathways have been identified and being explored to understand the mechanism behind these rapid responses. In connection to this, we utilize multiple transcriptomic and proteomic datasets (in connection to the genome information) to identify the key regulators or signaling hubs that control these rapid responses.
