Wageningen Universtiy & Research has obtained European Breeders’ Rights to the WUR S766. The rootstock is sold under license.

What are the characteristics of WUR S766?

Prunus spinosa WUR S766 is a weakly growing rootstock for intensive stone fruit production of plums, among others. The plant has a growth force that is stronger than VVA-1 and slightly weaker than St Julien A. For the climate conditions in the Netherlands, the rootstock is suitable for the varieties Opal, Victoria and various varieties that are produced under the Lazoet concept. The variety is characterized by the fact that it combines high productivity with large fruiting and the early production of new plots.
