WJ (Wolfram) Simon MSc
OnderzoekerWolfram Simon is a PhD candidate in the Farming Systems Ecology Group (FSE) at Wageningen University and Research (WUR) in the Netherlands. His research focuses on the environmental assessment of a circular food system on a global and national level. In his master’s program at WUR, he specialized in the analysis of sustainable and climate-smart agricultural systems and into ecological modelling. In his master thesis, he went to Bangladesh to analyze weather and market information networks using the means of social network analysis. In 2017, he received the Helmut Claas Scholarship for his bachelor thesis on ‘Insects as food and feed in Europe’ and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Kassel in Germany in Sustainable agriculture with honours. Before his academic training, he completed a two-year practical farming apprenticeship, specializing in organic production systems in Switzerland.
