TI (Thijs) Loonstra
PromovendusMy name is Thijs Loonstra, born and raised in Nijmegen where I studied Political Science specializing in Political Theory. After teaching for a few years in Political Science and Philosophy I started a PhD at WUR in the intersection between ethics, education, and engineering. As a PhD student I focus on the normative dilemma's central to complex problems in modernity, specifically on ethics in technology as related to food and living environments, and how these normative dilemma's can be integrated in higher education effectively. I am still at the starting point of this research and looking forward to learning from and engaging in dialogue with the interesting teachers, researchers and students at ELS and PHI.
