Software developer for Health Research

Simon Hengeveld is a software developer and computer scientist with bachelor and master degrees from Utrecht University and a PhD from Université de Rennes. He currently works at Wageningen University as a Software Developer for Health Research. His doctoral research focused on protein structure determination using Distance Geometry. Simon has published several papers in journals and conferences, covering topics like computational geometry, discrete protein structure determination and human motion retargeting.

In addition to his academic work, Simon is passionate about web and mobile development, having created and maintained numerous websites. He developed the UNESCO World Heritage Collect app for iOS and Android, aiding users in tracking and learning about UNESCO sites. Simon enjoys combining his interests in history, travel, and technology in his projects.
