SNG (Sammie) Jansen MSc MA

Sammie Jansen is a PhD candidate at the Philosophy Group of Wageningen University and the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). She explores the ethical implications of the human exposome. Research into the human exposome aims to collect and map large quantities of environmental exposures (both physical and social) and their biological manifestations over time to reveal their combined and cumulative impact on health and disease. Sammie is interested in the societal and ethical implications of detecting an increasing amount of (combinations of) risk and protective factors to predict and prevent illness, in increasingly early stages. This research is part of the Equal-Life project that studies the impact of the exposome on children's mental health and cognitive development (EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 874724).
