dr. X (Marion) Leo
OnderzoekerMarion Leo is a postdoctoral researcher in the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour group at the Wageningen University and Research. Marion initially pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, upon which she accrued valuable work experience. She then completed a Master's degree in Business and Technology Management and graduated with a PhD in Marketing from Korea Advanced University of Science and Technology (KAIST). For her PhD, she conducted research on consumer acceptance and decision-making related to service robots and artificial intelligence.
Collaborating with dr. ir. Arnout Fischer and dr. Ynte van Dam, Marion is currently researching consumer responses toward ecological technology for agriculture, as part of the Synergia program (https://www.wur.nl/en/project/synergia.htm). She investigates consumers’ associations related to technology, ecology, and agriculture aspects, an understanding that is potentially essential to reaching a higher understanding of consumer responses and acceptance of new food-production technologies.
Research interests: Consumer behaviour and decision-making, sustainability, technology, artificial intelligence, attribution theory, economic games, negotiation.
