dr. LT (Lisette) Phelan
Postdoctoral ResearcherLisette Phelan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Environmental Economics and Natural Resources (ENR) Group. She is undertaking research funded by the investment programme ‘Biodiversity-Positive Food Systems’ (B+FS) which aims to enhance biodiversity and ecosystem services on fields and farms, and in landscapes and value chains.
Lisette obtained her PhD in Agroecology in 2021, from De Montfort University in the UK. Her thesis focused on soil and water management in cocoa production in Ecuador and Ghana, against a backdrop of climate change. She holds an MSc in Agricultural Sciences in the Tropics and Subtropics from the University of Hohenheim, Germany and a BSc in International Development and Food Policy from University College Cork, Ireland. Prior to starting her PhD, Lisette worked as a visiting researcher at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT.
