L (Liang) Tang
PromovendusLiang Tang is a Sandwich PhD candidate in the Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy Group (AEP) at Wageningen University, which started in June 2021. Before this, Liang was studying in a Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. program in the College of Public Administration, Nanjing Agricultural University in China via a Sino-Dutch joint research program (Sure+). His undergraduate studies at the Xinjiang Agricultural University in Xinjiang (China).
Currently, he is working under the supervision of dr.ir. JHM (Jack) Peerlings (AEP) and prof.dr. NBM (Nico) Heerink (Development Economics Group, DEC). His research project is related to land market development and sustainable agricultural development in rural China. He hopes to explore the impact of public interventions in land market development on sustainable agricultural development and examine the performance of land market development and sustainable agricultural development from the perspective of policymaking. The research results are expected to help improve the design of the farmland tenure system and promote the development of the farmland rental market and contract governance.
