LM (Lennart) Fuchs MSc

Researcher Soil and Farming Systems

I am a specialist in sustainable agricultural production systems, with a main focus on arable cropping systems, but from a holistic view and from a food system's approach. I mostly work around the future of agriculture (in NL) from a system's view and agroforestry.

I have a background in International Land- and Watermanagement (BSc) and Organic Agriculture & Agroecology (MSc) at Wageningen University, with experiences in Spain, France, Caribbean and the Netherlands. I finished my studies with a thesis on the use of N-fixing crops in Dutch arable farming for nitrogen supply.

From 2021 on, I work as a Researcher in Sustainable Farming systems at WUR Field Crops, Wageningen Plant Research. In the last years, I have mostly developed myself around projects concerning Agroforestry and Farm of the Future. Next to that, I have worked in more specific projects around the themes of circularity, biodiversity, carbon farming, soil quality and management, and organic agriculture.
