I originally studied food chemistry at Bergische Universiät Wuppertal (Wuppertal University) in Wuppertal, Germany until 2015, followed by a one year mandatory training in official food control, quality control systems and European and German food laws to gain permission to write and sign legally binding reports as state certified food chemist.
For the past six years I’ve been working at the EURL POPs in Freiburg, Germany, while finishing my PhD in food chemistry in cooperation with Hohenheim University, focussing on the analysis of chlorinated paraffins. This is my first time moving and working abroad, so I am looking forward to my time here at WFSR and in the Netherlands!
