dr. JM (Julie) Lamy

Julie Lamy is a starting postdoctoral researcher at ABG, working on PPP repro project and who will work CGN projects in the future. She is interested in developing cryopreservation protocol as well as Assisted Reproductive Technologies that may help threatened species/ breeds in the future.

She obtained her PhD in 2017 in reproductive sciences. More precisely, she studied the composition of bovine oviductal fluid across the estrous cycle and regulations of sperm-oviduct interactions at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research. 

After her phD, she became one of the JoGayle Howard postdoctoral at Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, studying reproductive physiology of domestic and wild felids. She studied histological and molecular changes of the oviduct and uterine horn during the estrous cycle in the domestic cats. In parallel, she practiced numerous Assisted Reproductive Technologies to help the conservation of diverse species of carnivores including cheetahs and clouded leopards.
