Imagine a world where everyone has access to a nutritious and sustainable diet!

As a mathematical modeller, I strive to contribute to this vision by collaborating with other scientists to develop models that:

  1. Support nutritionists in researching the relationship between diet and health, for instance
    • Optimize the design of questionnaires to accurately determine people's dietary habits (1; 2),
    • Enhance the design of trial menus to assess the impact of diet on health outcomes (3; 4).
  2. Help to compose diets that are both healthy and sustainable.
    • Support the transition to more sustainable protein sources (5; 6; 7; 8),
    • Reduce food waste (9),
    • Eradicate micronutrient deficiencies (8),
    • Support policymakers in low- and middle income countries in developing effective food and nutrition policies (10; 11).
