JA (Jackie) Owili MSc
PromovendusJackie Owili is a PhD candidate at the Knowledge Technology and Innovation Group. Her research is at the intersection of the health of humans, animals and environment. Specifically, exploring on the (dis) connections between livestock farmers’ and expert knowledge in mitigating livestock health, human health and nutrition in Kenya. She is a trained development practitioner with an affinity towards food systems and nutrition, multistakeholder partnerships, and gender and food systems. She worked as a Knowledge Broker at the Netherlands Food Partnership and mainly involved in capacity development of food system transformation programs in low- and middle-income countries. She holds an MSc in International Development Studies from Wageningen University and Research, and BA in Development Sociology from Moi University, Kenya.
