Idse Val is a dedicated academic and legal scholar specializing in the intersection of law, artificial intelligence, and the agrifood sector.

Idse is a PhD candidate at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands, within the Law group. His research focuses on the legal frameworks governing AI systems operating in the agrifood context, as well as bridging the gap between legal regulations and machine understanding of the law. He aims to contribute to the development of legal standards that ensure the safe and ethical deployment of AI technologies in agriculture and food production.

As an alumnus of the University of Amsterdam, Idse completed his Master in European Private Law, where he honed his expertise in private law within the European Union. His academic background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and their practical implications in the evolving landscape of AI and agrifood industries.
