Postdoctoral researcherFollow me:
I work as a postdoctoral researcher in Hydrogeology at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) within the Hydrology and Environmental Hydraulics Group in Wageningen, Netherlands.
My journey in the world of hydrogeology began at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), my hometown, where I earned my BSc in Geology. It was there that I discovered my passion for hydrogeology. Building upon this foundation, I pursued my MSc in Hydrogeology at FUM, where I gained valuable experience in groundwater modeling, numerical methods, and isotope hydrology.
Expanding on this foundation, I pursued a PhD in Hydrogeology at Shahid Beheshti University (SBU). My doctoral journey led me to explore the fascinating world of hydrogeochemistry, isotope geochemistry, and the development of advanced groundwater flow models for complex hydrogeological settings. Throughout my PhD, I conducted research to characterize the origin of gases in shallow aquifers using hydrogeochemistry and isotope methods. I successfully defended my PhD with distinction in September 2021.
Throughout my academic and research journey, I had the privilege of collaborating with the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in Italy. During my tenure at INGV, I focused on laboratory techniques and methodologies for the chemical and isotopic analysis, as well as sampling methods of natural waters and gases.
