H (Haki) Pamuk PhD
Senior researcher and project managerI am a senior impact evaluation and investment researcher at Wageningen Economic Research. My studies mainly focus on the adoption, impact, and financing of food systems, environmental, and small business innovations.
Over the past years, I have managed or taken various roles in research projects that span continents, in Africa to Asia and Europe. Some of those studies have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Management Science, Journal of Development Economics, Food Policy, Journal of Development Studies, Journal of African Economies, and Frontiers in Climate, contributing to a global understanding of our shared challenges.
Currently, I am (co-)leading the evaluation of the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Rice Initiative for Climate Smart Agriculture (R4iCSA) in Kenya and Uganda, impact investment-related tasks of Food Trails and CleverFood projects funded by H2020-EU, the ““Bending the curve for biodiversity loss and economy” background study for Allianz SE, and the “Biodiversity related risks and opportunities” project with financial sector stakeholders from the Netherlands and Germany.
I joined Wageningen Economic Research (WEcR) in September 2017. In 2014, I received my Ph.D. in Economics at Tilburg University, the Netherlands. From 2014-2020, I held a post-doc position in the Development Economics Group at Wageningen University and Research.
