dr. JLF (Geoffrey) Hagelaar

Geoffrey Hagelaar (1957) studied Sociology at the University of Utrecht and received his Phd in Public Administration at the University of Twente. At the Wageningen University (as assistant professor), his present employer, he taught series of courses in the areas of public administration, public administration in spatial planning, environmental management, management of life sciences and introduction to business and consumer studies. The last 10 years he specializes in food quality management. Besides this, he worked part time for 2 years as senior researcher at the now called Wageningen Economic Centre for Research and he held for 8 years a part time position as professor of supply management at university of applied sciences Windesheim, Zwolle.

His research coincides with the educational activities so he published in a wide range of journals such as Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Supply Chain Management, Food Control, International Food and Agribusiness Management Review, Food Policy, Greener Management International, Information Technology Development, OR Spectrum, The European Journal of Development Research.
