Elisabeth is an Italian born of Ghanaian origins currently living in the Netherlands.

She has a double Masters degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural policy from Wageningen University and Research (Wageningen, The Netherlands) and in Management and Economics of the Agri-Food System from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Cremona, Italy).

Within WECR, Elisabeth's research focuses on deepening understandings about sustainable food systems and supporting the public and private sector on how to contribute to food systems transitions especially in low and medium income countries.

Previously, Elisabeth has worked in various capacities in research consultancy (sustainable development of agri-food chains in Ghana and Burkina Faso) and in business (livestock trade), partnering with both European and African actors.

Elisabeth's future ambition is to become an expert agricultural economist, cultural and business facilitator between West African actors and European actors. She strongly believes that her multicultural background can be of high importance in supporting her ambition.
