JE (Eduardo) Rojas Padilla

My interest is in the links at the science-policy-society interface, and my current position is as a policy officer for joint programming research networks at WUR.

I have a transdisciplinary background that combines natural and social sciences research. My current PhD research is on policy sciences at WUR. The research focuses on the governance of novel food technologies, particularly the role of visual framing in the (online) public debates about CRISPR-Cas technology in the EU, USA, and Mercosur countries. Before this PhD project, I followed an MSc. in Plant biotechnology (WUR), and Innovation Sciences studies (UU). After obtaining my BSc in Biotechnology (ITCR), I worked at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), assisting Latin-American countries with policies on biotechnology and biosafety.
