Eduardo graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2011) at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil); in 2013 obtained his MSc at the same university working on a field trial for Salmonella spp. control in the pork production chain. In 2016 Eduardo completed his PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology at the same university with a sandwich period at Danish Technical University working with qualitative and quantitative risk assessment models orientated to the modernization of the inspection of pig carcasses in Brazil. He worked as a researcher at the epidemiology group at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul from 2017 to 2019. During this period, Eduardo worked with stochastic models in pre and post-harvest in animal production focus on public health hazards. In 2019 he joined the epidemiology group at Wageningen Bioveterinary Research in Lelystad.
