My previous background in molecular ecology focused on the effects of life history trade-offs on ageing, with a particular interest in the effects of parasites on telomere dynamics. Now I work in the Environmental Toxicology group, where our research focuses on how pollutants affect organisms, for example, the harmful effects of various chemical, biological and physical agents on alternative endpoints like immune function and behaviour. This group aims to better understand the wider ecological effects of pollution on wildlife and ecosystems.
