CT (Chris) Vogliano
Postdoctoral ResearchDr. Chris Vogliano is a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University, where they are contributing to the World Food Map project, funded by the European Union. This initiative aims to catalog underutilized food species and develop an interactive global database to support resilient food systems that promote biodiversity and enhance nutrition outcomes. With a background in nutrition science and as a registered dietitian, Dr. Vogliano’s work integrates the fields of agriculture, nutrition, and sustainability to advance evidence-based strategies for improving global food systems. Recently relocated to the Netherlands, they are dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary approaches that strengthen the connection between food biodiversity and human health.
Chris also supports the Global Diet Quality Project, where we created the first-ever global diet quality monitoring system across 100+ countries (www.dietquality.org), and works with Food + Planet working to empower healthcare professionals to become leaders in the sustainable food system transition (www.foodandplanet.org).
