Assistant Professor

I am an assistant professor at the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Group of Wageningen University. My research focus is on conservation questions related to the effectiveness of protected areas, development of monitoring tools and frameworks, and better understanding of human-wildlife conflict and poaching. I am particularly interested in the conservation of big cats and mountain ungulates with a special focus on southwest Asia, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
