I work as a PhD-candidate at Education & Learning Sciences and Consumption & Healthy Lifestyle. My research is part of the interdisciplinary SWITCH-project, in which we combine the fields of public health, nutrition, educational sciences and behavioural sciences. I am interested in how healthy and sustainable diets can be encouraged from a young age, in order to improve public and planetary health. My PhD research aims to understand how adolescents can be stimulated to adopt healthier and more sustainable diets, by means of the secondary school context. My research has a strong link to practice, collaborating with various organisations, schools and adolescents.

My educational background is in public health. I completed my bachelor in Liberal Arts & Sciences (major: Public Health) at Erasmus University College and my master in Nutrition & Health (specialisation: Epidemiology & Public Health) at Wageningen University & Research.
