AJ (Annita) Kirwa
PhD researcherAnnita holds a bachelors' degree in geography from Egerton University and a masters' degree in environmental risks and human security from United Nations University and University of Bonn. Previously, she worked as a science researcher, a humanitarian and conservationist linking sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation. Her research interests revolve around discourses surrounding climate change, development policy and governance in the marginalized regions including arid and semi-arid environments in Kenya. She is currently involved in the Governing SDG interaction project researching on the role of governance mechanisms for cross-level and cross-sector alignment in addressing trade-offs and creating synergies between SDGs in Climate-Smart Livestock policies in Kenya. The project takes a global-to-local approach,
