AM (Anna) Roodhof MSc
PromovendusAnna Roodhof is a PhD candidate looking into economic and social possibilities for food forestry as an agricultural practice in the Netherlands. She developed an interest in food forestry during her MSc internship with the National Monitoring Programme Food Forests (NMVB), where she studied the socio-economic value of food forests. She is interested in qualitative methods, positioning herself as a part of the reality she tries to describe. Drawing on the diverse economies literature as well as practice theory, she uses thick description to uncover what was previously hidden.
Anna has an MSc in International Development Studies with a specialization in Sociology of Development from Wageningen University and a BA in Liberal Arts and Science with a focus on Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology from University College Roosevelt (part of Utrecht University).
