Stirling-Wageningen workshop strengthens collaboration possibilities
Five Stirling University researchers visited Wageningen on 30-31 March to establish connections and possibilities for collaboration on forest and nature-related research activities.
The three key themes covered in the workshop were: restoration/rewilding, forests/nature and climate change, and human-forest interactions. The group from Stirling University, Scotland, was led by Professor Alistair Jump, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. It included dr. Elisa Fuentes-Montemayor, dr. Isabel Jones, dr. Sandra Engstrom and dr. Clemens Hoffman.
Wageningen University’s team comprised prof. dr. Georg Winkel of the Forest & Nature Conservation Group, prof. dr. Douglas Sheil of the Forest Ecology & Forest Management Group, and lecturers, researchers and PhD researchers.
