SSEB Team Present atthe 8th International Conference on FOOD DIGESTION in Porto
The 8th International Conference on FOOD DIGESTION was held in Porto (Portugal) on the 09-11th April 2024 and attended by 400 scientists. The Sensory Science and Eating Behaviour (SSEB) Chair group presented their research during this three day meeting. The conference is a major event in the field of Food, Nutrition and Health. It is organized in the frame of the INFOGEST, a global network of approximately 700 research scientists (academic and food companies) from 200 institutions across 52 countries.
Dr. Paul Smeets presented on the intra-gastric behaviour of infant formulas and Prof. Markus Stieger gave a presentation about the impact of oral processing behaviour on nutrients digestion. PhD students Dan Liu, Xinhang Li, Zhen Liu and Dr. Morwarid Mayar presented posters on their most recent studies. The conference was rounded off with a wonderful gala dinner at the World of Wine in Porto overlooking the Luís I Bridge.
The SSEB team looks forward to contribute to the 09thInternational Conference on Food Digestion to be held in Gdańsk (Poland) in 2026.
