Springer Nature Fully Open Access quota has been reached
As of 25 June 2024, the quota for the discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) for Open Access publishing in BMC and Springer Nature Fully Open Access journals has been reached for the year 2024.
The 2024 quota for discount on Open Access publishing charges in BMC and a subset of Springer Nature journals has been reached per 25 June 2024. This applies to the 693 journals listed in this document (login required).
Note that the cap does not apply to the National Read & Publish-deal with the Springer Nature journals.
What are the consequences?
Because the quota has been reached, WUR authors will have to pay 100% of the Article Processing Charges (APCs). BMC and Springer will still offer to publish your article Open Access, but the costs will no longer be partially covered by WUR Library. You will receive an invoice for the full APC.
