Access to clean water and sanitation is a fundamental human right, yet in the aftermath of disasters, individuals with disabilities often face invisible barriers. Bureaucratic hurdles, inaccessible facilities, and inadequate policies leave many behind. Are international standards like SPHERE truly inclusive?

Join us for an insightful seminar & workshop focusing on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in DRR, organized by the Wageningen Disaster Network (WiDeN) and CSPS Disaster and Risk Cluster.

Program Highlights

🔹 10:00-11:20: Two lectures covering international experiences of WASH for persons with disabilities (PwDs) in DRR, presented by Md Nadiruzzaman (Maastricht University) and Maartje Scholten (Wageningen University).

🔹 11:30-13:15: Lunch seminar with expert speakers, including Axel Schmidt (ASB Germany), Sander Schot (CBM Disability Inclusion), and Antonietta Romano & Agnès Marsan (Red Cross Netherlands) - Lunch provided for those who register in time.
