Gene editing and the importance of the independent scientist
The debate on gene editing requires plant scientists to adhere to the norms of science, such as independence, organized skepticism and disinterestedness. This is stated by the Rathenau Institute in a recent study carried out in collaboration with Phil Macnaghten of Knowledge, Technology and Innovation at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), and builds on the report "Gene editing in plants and crops".
