Eirini Fasia joins the Law Group
Eirini Fasia joined the Law Group per March and is now a lecturer.
Eirini will soon defend her PhD in Law of the Sea at the University of Oxford. Prior to her doctoral research, Eirini studied law at the Democritus University of Thrace (LL.B (dist.)), the University of Athens (LL.M, dist.)) and the University of Oxford (MJur (dist.) and MPhil). Eirini’s fields of interest include marine environmental protection and conservation, biodiversity, the settlement of competition and conflict in the oceans, and marine spatial planning.
Between 2022-2023, Eirini worked as a Judicial Fellow at the International Court of Justice. Previously, she worked as a tutor and lecturer in the Law Faculty and the Department of Continuing Education of the University of Oxford and has teaching experience in various fields including public international law, international law of the sea, international environmental law, and human rights law.
Eirini has published in international peer-reviewed journals, including The Law & Practice of International Courts and Tribunals, and the European Journal of International Law, and has co-authored a chapter in the Oxford University Press’s Commentary on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
