Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) opened the call for abstracts for the Annual 2025 SETAC Europe Conference. Our colleagues Nikola Rakonjac and Vera Silva, together with Ravi Naidu, host the session 3.16.

🧾 We invite submissions that explore the latest advancements in 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 and how they contribute to a better understanding of 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 across different environmental contexts. This session will focus on 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 and their co-occurrence, interactions, and effects in 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 🌿🔬

With contamination challenges evolving, 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 are becoming more comprehensive, covering a wider range of compounds and matrices, including 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, and 𝗣𝗙𝗔𝗦. 📊🌱 The potential for 𝗰𝗼-𝗼𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 of contaminants from various groups is increasingly recognized, yet 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and their combined effects on 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 remain underexplored. 💧🔄

🔹 New data on 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (especially multi-group contaminants from diverse environmental matrices)
🔹 Innovative uses of 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 (e.g., deriving soil screening values)
🔹 New 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 targeting multi-group contaminant behavior
🔹 Data on 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of contaminants

🧫 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀 in agricultural soils combined with pesticides and plastics
💧 𝗣𝗙𝗔𝗦 compounds in surface or groundwater interacting with other contaminants
