106th WUR Dies Natalis:Alejandro Berlinches de Gea talked about microbiomes
Alejandro is a PhD at Nematology. He was selected as one of the three young researchers to give a talk in the Dies Natalis.
Alejandro was selected as one of the three young researchers to give a talk in the Dies Natalis of this year, which topic was Microbiome: From Globe to Gut (https://www.wur.nl/en/calendar-1/dies-natalis-1.htm). In his talk, he showed the importance of soil microbiome predators (protists and nematodes) on plant performance. He started by giving an overview of soil biodiversity, mentioning that hosts the most biodiversity on Earth. Then he went through soil microbiome predators and finished by showing his research.
