It was founded in 1920 as an answer to the need for engineers of the Romanian society in the context of the post WW1 economic recovery. During its 99 years of existence, Politehnica University of Timisoara trained 131027 specialists, greatly appreciated on the national and international level for their competence.

University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAMV) is the oldest and largest institution of higher agronomic education in Romania, founded in 1852, where the tradition and modernity successfully meet.
