Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD or Autism
If you only need more time during exams or an enlarged font, you don’t have to make an appointment with a student dean. However, you do need a valid medical statement.
Digital form in Osiris
In Osiris you will find a form (click on ‘cases’) to send in a request for facilities, including extra time for examinations. Don’t forget to upload a copy of the statement from your doctor or your psychologist, setting out your diagnosis.
Acceptance procedure
A student dean will take your request into consideration. Once your medical statement has been approved by a student dean, you will receive an e-mail and a message within Osiris. The extra examining time is visible under your personal details in Osiris. When you subscribe for a course, you may use the checkbox to inform the course coordinator you are entitled to 25% extra time for the (interim) examination.
Do you need other facilities?
If you need any other or additional facilities besides extra time, you may also use the Osiris form. But in this case you will receive a message to make an appointment with a student dean.
Study delay
In the event that you fall behind in your studies due to an impairment or learning disability, you may have the right to extra student finance (a grant/loan). The student deans will determine whether you qualify for this. Report your study delay to a student dean as soon as possible. Study delays that came about more than two months before you reported them will not be registered.
