Invitation

SKOV and Study Association Ipso Facto coridally invite you, members and friends of SKOV, alumni, students and other interested persons to the seminar on Thursday 27 June 2024 in the afternoon on International Climate Financing. There will be plenty space for questions, exchange and discussion. And of course, for a drink and informal talks afterwards.

At the moment several countries and regions are facing climate disasters. What is being done and what are possibilities on different levels, from local to global?
During 2023 SKOV organised a seminar on climate change in Africa and implications for food security and rural employment, followed by a seminar on weather forecast on regional/local level in Africa and plant production in relation to climate change in several African regions. After these seminars from a social and more technical perspective, there will be a seminar, co-organised with Ipso-Facto, from a global and financial perspective.

Ms. Sara Murawski, of the Sustainable Finance Lab and researcher on internal trade and investments, will give an overview on International Climate Financing. In her introduction she will pay attention to:
- The current state of affairs of climate change and the global boundaries
- The present international agenda for financing climate action
- The reforms needed of the international financial architecture.
