SKOV seminar - Climate Change and Food Systems in Africa - 19 October 2023

The study circle for Development Issues SKOV cordially invites you, members and friends of SKOV, alumni, students, and other interested persons to a seminar at Wageningen Campus.

Invitation to join the seminar on Climate Change and Food Systems in Africa that will be held on Thursday 19 October, from 16.30–19.00 h, followed by drinks and bites. A moment that is also a nice networking opportunity!

Speakers

Mr Frank van Weert (WCDI Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation) is climate change advisor and working on the nexus of technology, information and governance processes to create climate-resilient food systems in LMICs. He is currently leading a climate information services project in Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda together with the countries’ national agricultural research centers.

Ms Likoko Eunice (WCDI ) is anutrition & gender advisor in food systems. In the last four years she has led a collaborative research project that focused on inclusive empowerment strategies to support women agribusiness microentrepreneurs in marginalized communities in rural and urban areas, with a focus on East-Africa.

Ms Falaq Tidjani is seed advisor and working on sustainable and inclusive value chain development, with a focus on West-Africa. She works on capacity building in agribusiness management, on food industry/markets analysis and mapping, on policy analysis and the role of finance and investments.

The seminar is organised by SKOV in cooperation with the United Community of African Students (UCAS) in Wageningen and the Study Association Ipso Facto.
